Mark at The Pet Show 2013

Welcome to my website!

My name is Mark Walden, I’m a Dog Trainer, Blogger, Writer and most importantly I’m someone who is passionate about animal welfare.

I’ve lived with dogs all of my life and after thinking that you can never get enough of a good thing I’ve decided to work with them too! I’ve managed a boarding kennels and rescue home for almost 6 years and am currently working part time in Dog Law where I manage marketing and admin. I’ve Lived with Beagles and Bassets and worked along with a number of rescues my whole life.

I’m also involved in events and shows such as Discover Dogs, London Pet Show, Windsor Championship Show and Crufts. I get involved in judging fun shows and Kennel Club licensed shows judging Beagles and Bassets.

The mission of this website is to raise awareness of animal welfare through responsible ownership and since I’m a dog trainer, I can post a few tips and pieces of advice while I’m at it. You’ll also get a glimpse of my experiences across the country at various shows and events, I hope you find them interesting!

Most of all though, I want to get people talking about these issues. People need a voice as animal issues become more and more relevant to our everyday lives whether we own pets or not! As such, I’ll be posting regular articles, interviews and opinion pieces on hot-topics and encouraging people to get in on the discussion!

Feel free to message me or comment on my articles and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

  1. Love your dogs. 2011 I lost all three of my dogs along with my husband and miss them would have another one if I did not live in a small flat and work night. Thankfully I have lovely memories of them and pictures.

  2. What a sad story Ann, sorry for your loss. We have many pictures of the Beagles and Bassets over the years and have such wonderful memories. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog I hope you enjoy it.

  3. Yes I enjoyed it and I miss my three babies along with my husband. I would love another basset but cannot afford one at the moment nor do I have the space and that makes me sad.
